SUCCESS STORY

2011 Youth of the Year
Imani Jackson

Imani has been a member of the Johnny Mitchell Boys & Girls Club in Galveston for seven years.  She credits the Club staff and volunteers, specifically Ms. Carol Freeman, for helping her overcome the destruction and devastation caused by Hurricane Ike.  She recently graduated from Ball High School and will attend Howard University in Washington, D.C. this fall.  Imani hopes to become a middle school math teacher.
