![]() ![]() In response to the call for more effective homework assistance programs for low-income youth, local Ross Stores associates were on hand at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston’s Holthouse Club located in Houston’s second ward to build a “book nook” and to redecorate the Learning Center last November to create a culture of learning within the Club. “I can relax now and I will actually do my homework”, remarked one of the Club’s members as she sat in one of the new bean bags in the finished Learning Center that included a sofa and loveseat, college decals in the states they are located on a map positioned under four clocks representing the United States’ time zones, new bookshelves and a wall mural.
