Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston depends on generous individual gifts, fundraising events, foundation grants, corporate contributions and government support to help us reach 10,000 Houston-area youth each year.  Although membership is only $5.00, it takes much more to provide the services BGCGH offers.  The funds we raise allow us to keep our services affordable to the communities that need us most.

SUCCESS STORY

Imani Jackson

Imani attended the Johnny Mitchell Boys & Girls Club in Galveston for seven years.  She credits the Club staff and volunteers, specifically Ms. Carol Freeman, for helping her overcome the destruction and devastation caused by Hurricane Ike.  She graduated from Ball High School and now attends Howard University in Washington, D.C.  Imani hopes to become a middle school math teacher.
